Summary

Teaching in Colleges Today (TiCT) is an SCQF level 7 credit rated Unit which is ideal for supporting new college lecturers CPD. For colleges delivering this Unit, CDN have created a variety of free CDN Learn Online materials to help new lecturers understand the sector drivers and their job roles. These resources can also be used to help existing lecturers reflect on their skills and knowledge, helping them keep up to date with current policies and practices.

A variety of colleges currently use the TiCT materials to complement existing in-house induction programmes and/or as an introductory Unit before progressing onto existing PDAs and TQFE programmes.

The webinar will begin with a brief recap of how this programme can be best used by colleges and a quick run through of some of the updated learning materials that have been updated for session 2018-19.

The second part of this webinar will be focused on helping college-based tutors/mentors delivering the TiCT Unit to develop their understanding of the TiCT Unit assessment standards. Information provided will highlight areas of good practice as well as clarifying standards of assessment based on the latest information from the external verification process.
