This event will cover:

• An Introduction to Cyber Security presented by Professor Bill Buchanan, Edinburgh Napier University.

• Cyber Security – a business perspective, presented by Federico Charosky, Managing Director, Quorum Cyber. Federico will talk about examples of cyber threats that he has experienced in the workplace, describing what was breached, how incidents were dealt with and the learning from this. He will also discuss high profile cyber crimes that have taken place and provide his analysis on these.

• Demonstrations on ethical hacking and digital forensics which can be recreated in class.

• A session on the following:
  
  • an introduction to the NPA Assessment Support Packs
  • preparing and setting up the assessments
  • group discussions on the practical assessments, to look at the barriers that exist for assessment delivery and how these can be overcome.
