Summary

We are delighted to announce that Jamie Hepburn, MSP, Minister for Employability and Training will open the 2017 Conference.

School - college pathways have and are continuing to have a powerful impact on the learner journey. They are giving rise to more varied provision during the senior phase curriculum and offering a wider range of vocational qualifications that raise aspirations, achievement and attainment. This can only be delivered through partnership working if we are to respond to labour market intelligence and develop a responsive workforce. This conference will celebrate the achievements so far but also focus on new pathways required to meet the aspirations of everyone involved. Therefore the 2017 conference has 4 key themes:

  • Senior phase pathways
  • Implications of the recently published STEM strategy
  • Career Information Advice and Guidance
  • Equalities.

This is an opportunity to hear latest developments happening across school-college pathways, share practice and reflect on implications of the 4 themes for raising attainment.
