Summary

This short workshop will be delivered by Craig Mill, Assistive Technology Advisor at CALL Scotland. CALL Scotland is the Scottish Centre of Excellence in Assistive and Communication Technologies for learners with additional support needs and is responsible for a range of projects such as the SQA Adapted Digital Exams, provision of the Scottish computer voices, the Master’s level course in Inclusive Digital Technologies and the updated MyStudyBar, a suite of portable applications to support planning, reading and writing.

Craig will demonstrate a range of freely available and built-in technologies which are available in Windows, Microsoft Word and iPads to support learners with literacy difficulties. You are welcome to bring along your own iPad/iPhone to follow along, although there will be limited time to provide one-to-one support. Laptops will be available for you to use.

Guides, handouts and other resources will be available during and after the workshop.
