Summary

Teaching in Colleges Today (TiCT) is an SCQF level 7 credit rated programme which is ideal for supporting new college lecturers CPD. The free-to-use CDN Learn Online materials can also help existing lecturers reflect on their current practices, keeping them up to date with things that impact on the work of colleges in Scotland.

A range of colleges are currently using the TiCT materials either formally delivering this Unit within their colleges for new lecturers or informally for staff CPD purposes, as its content aligns well with existing PDAs and TQFE programmes, helping provide coherent pathways for staff progression.

For anyone unfamiliar with the Teaching in Colleges Today (TiCT) Unit, the webinar will begin with a brief recap of how it can be used by college staff before moving on and highlighting some of the latest features and updates to online content.

The main part of this webinar will be focused on helping college tutors/mentors understand the Unit standards, highlighting good practice and clarifying standards of assessment, drawing on information from past external verification events.
